Diving courses for Children
The diving courses for children consist of 3 separate dives. These courses are aimed at children from 8 to 12 years old.

Young divers learn to progress safely and securely with an instructor. They learn about the underwater fauna and flora through small educational books and waterproof boards, which can be carried with them into the waters of Valinco.
Young divers pass their qualification level: Bronze, Silver, Gold. They are then awarded an “in the water know-how” certificate.
Level 1 Diving Courses
The FFESSM Level 1 diving course provides supervised diving up to a depth of 20m.

The Level 1 diving course is accessible for those of 14 years of age and above (or 12 years of age providing a valid medical certificate is given).
Level 1 training
- 6 dives with a fully qualified instructor,
- 2 theoretical courses,
- An oral exam.
This FFESSM diving course is recognised throughout France and almost everywhere abroad.
Learn underwater sign language used by divers , and how to use diving instruments such as the regulator, the stabilization vest, the dive bottle etc.
Diving courses in Corsica
Level 2 Diving Courses
The FFESSM Level 2 diving course provides supervised diving up to a water depth of 40m and autonomous diving up to a water depth of 20m for divers 18 years of age and above.

The level 2 diving course is accessible from 16 years old , provided Level 1 has been successfully completed.
Level 2 training
- 10 dives with a fully qualified instructor,
- 3 theoretical courses,
- A written exam.
Level 3 Diving Courses
The FFESSM Level 3 diving course allows autonomous diving up to a water depth of 40m.

The Level 3 diving course is accessible from 18 years of age provided Level 2 has been successfully completed.
Level 3 training
- 6 dives with a fully qualified instructor,
- 2 theoretical courses,
- RIFAP*/ RIFAD* training
- A written exam.
(*) R.I.F.A.P : Réactions et Intervention Face à un Accident de Plongée, ( RIFAD : How to respond when faced with a diving accident) is a first aid and offshore rescue certificate specific to underwater activities.
This certification is a requirement for the Level 3 course. If you are not certified, U Levante can provide you with this training.
